Michelle Lui’s lifelong passion for food lead her to study Food Science at the University of British Columbia. As a result, Michelle Lui has worked in various sectors of the food industry, including meat processing, produce, beverages and CFIA. In 2004, she began as a food consultant helping farmers, processors and distributors with their food safety, quality assurance, research and development projects and organic certifications. She has also assisted these agents in obtaining funding from SR&ED and IRAP. In 2015, she became a food safety advisor, selected by the BC Ministry of Agriculture. Michelle Lui provides fresh blueberries from BC Blueberry growers to local markets as well as US and Asian retailers and distributors.
